US and Russian representatives have been continuing talks in Riyadh for over nine hours after another break, TASS reported, citing a representative of the Russian delegation.
Previously, the negotiators announced three breaks in the talks. According to the representative of the Russian delegation, the participants had already planned to conclude the consultations, but the meeting continued.
The Moscow delegation is headed by career diplomat Grigory Karasin and Sergei Beseda – a senior intelligence official and close confidant of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The US delegation to Saudi Arabia includes Andrew Peake, senior director for Europe at the National Security Council, Michael Anton, director of policy planning at the State Department, and aides to Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg and National Security Adviser Mike Walz.
Reuters earlier reported, citing Saudi media, that Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov had arrived for a new round of talks in Saudi Arabia.
