The head of the Gagauz Autonomous Region of Moldova Evgenia Gutsul called on her comrades to continue the fight for the rights of the region after her arrest.
"Continue to defend our values, defend the rights of the Gagauz people and all citizens who believe in honesty and justice. Our strength is in unity. And only together can we resist lawlessness," Gutsul wrote on her Telegram channel, urging her supporters not to succumb to fear and not to surrender.
According to her, the court decided to arrest her for 20 days on a "completely fabricated" criminal case.
"Know that I am not broken! "I have not hesitated, I have not asked for mercy from those who want to humiliate Gagauzia. And I will not renounce my beliefs," noted Gutsul, who represents the opposition in Moldova and currently holds the post of executive secretary of the opposition bloc "Victory".
