US President Donald Trump said that Iran will face unprecedented bombing if Tehran does not agree to a deal on its nuclear program.
“If they do not make a deal, then there will be bombings like they have never seen“, NBC News quoted the American leader as saying.
Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that in response to the letter to Trump, the Iranian authorities had refused direct negotiations on their nuclear program, but had expressed readiness to continue the dialogue on this issue through intermediaries.
On February 23, US National Security Advisor Mike Walz said that Washington was considering all options for action against Iran's nuclear development. Later, Trump expressed the opinion that Tehran's development of nuclear weapons could be stopped either "with bombs" or by signing an agreement. He added that he would like to make a deal with the Islamic Republic without resorting to bombing.
