The Polish prosecutor's office intends to put more than 40 Russian experts who performed autopsies on the bodies of the victims of the Polish presidential plane crash near Smolensk in 2010 on the wanted list, the head of the investigative team, Krzysztof Schwartz, told reporters, RAR reports.

“We have established beyond doubt that the medical and forensic reports on the autopsies of the bodies of the crash victims, which Russian doctors compiled for the purposes of investigating the Polish plane crash, contain a lot of false information”, he said.

According to Schwartz, the Russian experts should have indicated in their conclusions the injuries, their number, location, degree of damage to health, the mechanism and time of their infliction, their viability, as well as the features related to identification. He claims that serious irregularities, constituting elements of a crime, have been found in more than 60 sections. The head of the team does not specify the nature of these violations.

Therefore, it is a question of bringing charges against 43 Russian experts.

“I think we will file applications with the court for an arrest warrant, which is necessary to start an international search“, Schwartz said.

The Polish Tu-154 plane crashed during a landing approach at Smolensk-Severny Airport on April 10, 2010. 96 people died, including the head of state Lech Kaczynski and his wife, prominent politicians and military personnel.
