At least one person was killed and four wounded in US strikes on Yemen's Houthi-controlled Sanaa province, said Anis al-Asbahi, a spokesman for the rebel health ministry.
“According to preliminary information, four civilians were injured and one person was killed as a result of the US aggression“, he wrote on X. Earlier, the rebel-controlled Al Masirah TV channel reported that the US had carried out four airstrikes on the Jadar area in Bani al-Harith district in Sanaa province.
On March 15, the United States, under the orders of President Donald Trump, began carrying out massive strikes against Houthi targets, who control about a third of Yemen's territory. The operation is aimed at protecting American interests and ensuring freedom of navigation, the US Central Command said at the time.
In response, the Houthis launched a series of attacks on the US aircraft carrier Harry S. Truman in the northern Red Sea, using missiles and drones. There was no report of damage to the ship as a result of the strikes.
