Sweden will provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth 16 billion kronor ($1.59 billion) - the largest ever, Defense Minister Pál Jónsson said, quoted by Reuters, BTA reports.
According to Jónsson, the main part of this package includes equipment worth 9.2 billion kronor, which is yet to be purchased.
The Swedish government also announced that it will increase aid to Ukraine in 2025, planning to allocate 40 billion kronor instead of the initially planned 25 billion. The aim is to provide more serious support to Kiev in the war against Russia.
