30 Palestinians were killed on Saturday by Israeli army action, Qatari television channel Al Jazeera reported, citing medical sources.
They said Israeli forces had killed at least 30 Palestinians in Gaza since Saturday morning, including eight in an airstrike on a home in the southern city of Khan Younis. Palestinian journalist Islam Mekdad was reportedly among the victims of the attack.
On March 18, the Israeli army resumed hostilities in the Gaza Strip, launching massive attacks on the enclave, breaking a truce established in January this year. The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained this by the refusal of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas to comply with the proposals made at the negotiations by the mediators and the special envoy of the US President, Stephen Witkoff, stating that the purpose of the operation in the enclave was the release of all hostages.
The radicals accused Israel and the US of the renewal of hostilities.
