Relics related to gamer Carlo Acutis should not be sold. This was stated by Archbishop Domenico Sorrentino, quoted by CNN.

The 15-year-old boy, who died of leukemia in 2006, was known for his piety and promotion of Christianity online, while also enjoying video games.

On April 27, the Vatican will canonize Acutis. The head of the diocese where the young man's body is kept condemned the sale of a lock of the gamer's hair on the Internet for 2.2 thousand dollars.

"The business in relics is widespread. There is a market on the Internet for relics that are associated with different saints, like our Francis of Assisi, with a price list. Something that we cannot accept," said Sorrentino.
