Turkish President Recep Erdogan is suing the leader of the Republican People's Party Özgür Özgel, BGNES reported.
Erdogan has filed a claim for 500 thousand liras for non-pecuniary damages.
A criminal complaint has also been filed for a crime related to insulting the president.
The specific reason for the case is a statement by Özgel, in which he calls the Turkish president a "junta leader" who is afraid of elections.
