The US will impose additional tariffs on China, with rates on Chinese imports reaching 104 percent. This was announced today by the White House, quoted by world agencies, BTA reports.
The tariffs will take effect tomorrow, April 9, at 00:01 Eastern Time (04:01 GMT).
Last week, US President Donald Trump announced that new tariffs on Chinese imports would reach 54 percent from April 9, threatening to raise rates by another 50 percent if China takes retaliatory measures, recalls Agence France-Presse.
Beijing decided to tax American products by 34 percent from Thursday, April 10, and vowed not to withdraw its retaliatory measures.
