A Russian missile strike hit the Ukrainian city of Dnipro on Thursday, regional military governor Sergei Lysak announced, quoted by Ukrainian media. According to him, a large fire broke out at the site of the strike and three people were injured.
A little later, Lysak reported that a 42-year-old man had died as a result of the attack.
The information about the strike was also spread by Russian pro-war bloggers, but the Russian Defense Ministry has not officially commented on the event at the moment.
Dnipro is one of the key industrial and logistics centers of Ukraine and has often fallen into the range of Russian air strikes since the beginning of the war. It is not yet known whether the strike targeted military or civilian infrastructure. An investigation into the consequences and possible damage is ongoing.
