Iran will give negotiations with the United States "a real chance", Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai said today, quoted by Reuters, BTA reports.
"We intend to evaluate the intentions and determination of the other side this Saturday", Baghai wrote on the social network "Ex" (formerly Twitter), referring to the upcoming meeting between senior Iranian and US officials in Oman.
In earnest & with candid vigilance we are giving diplomacy a genuine chance.

“These talks will show how serious Iran is“, said U.S. State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce on Thursday. She added that the future of the dialogue depends on the results of the meeting.
