Smartphones and computers will be excluded from the scope of reciprocal tariffs announced by US President Donald Trump. This is according to new guidelines issued by the US Border and Customs Protection Service, CNBC reported, quoted by BTA.
The guidelines were issued after Trump imposed a 125 percent tariff on goods imported from China earlier this month. This decision put pressure on technology companies such as "Apple" (Apple), which manufactures the majority of its products in China.
The new tariff guidelines also include exemptions for other electronic devices and components, including semiconductors, solar cells, flat-panel television screens, flash memory, memory cards, and semiconductor devices used for data storage.
