Two men died in a shooting late last night in Gothenburg, Sweden. Police have launched an investigation, with local media reporting that the case is likely related to gang violence, The Local Sweden writes, reports Focus.
The shooting was reported shortly before midnight.
„Two men aged between 20 and 25 were found at the scene with gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospital but later died from their injuries, police said in a statement.
There have been no arrests or suspects so far.
According to the Gothenburg-Posten newspaper, the attack may be part of an escalating gang rivalry in the city.
The TT news agency notes that at least three shootings and eight bomb attacks have been recorded in Gothenburg since the beginning of the year - a worrying trend that is putting Swedish security services under pressure.
