Israel may carry out limited strikes on Iran's nuclear infrastructure in the next few months, Reuters reported, citing its sources.
According to their information, Israel has offered the US several options for attack, including air strikes and special operations. The impacts could occur in late spring or summer 2025. As a result, Tehran is expected to be deprived of the ability to switch to military use of nuclear energy for a period of several months to a year, the agency's interlocutors added.
On April 17, The New York Times, citing sources, reported that Israel is preparing to strike Iran's nuclear facilities in May. Israel was convinced that the United States would take an active part in preparing the attack and would ensure the protection of the Jewish state from a possible Iranian retaliatory strike. US President Donald Trump has turned to a diplomatic settlement of the differences with Iran and informed Israel in early April that he would not support such a military operation.
According to Reuters, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said during discussions between Iranian and US officials on April 12 in Muscat, Oman, that Tehran was ready to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency as a guarantee that its nuclear activities were peaceful. However, Araghchi clarified that this was possible only if sanctions on Iran's oil and financial sectors were lifted.
