The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina declared Saturday, April 26, a day of mourning in the country on the occasion of the death of Pope Francis, BTA reported.

A post on the social network Ex reported that the Council of Ministers made the decision at an extraordinary telephone meeting. The day of mourning will be marked by lowering the flags on the buildings of national institutions to half-mast, notes the Bosnian edition of Radio Free Europe. Public television stations are recommended to adapt their broadcasts to the day of mourning.

Slovenia declared three days of mourning yesterday - from Thursday to Saturday, reported the Slovenian publication "24ur". Slovenian President Natasa Pirc Musar and Prime Minister Robert Golob will attend Pope Francis' funeral on Saturday at the Vatican.

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković announced yesterday that the Croatian government will probably also declare a day of mourning for Pope Francis on Saturday.
