Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that Crimea remains an inalienable part of the territory of Ukraine, regardless of the pressure exerted by the United States, Agence France-Presse reported, quoted by BTA.
“Our position remains unchanged. All temporarily occupied territories belong to Ukraine“, Zelensky stressed to journalists.
His statement comes amid media reports that the American plan for a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine is considering the possibility of recognizing Crimea as part of Russia – a proposal that Kiev categorically rejects.
The Ukrainian leader confirmed that his country has no intention of making concessions related to its territorial integrity, and reiterated that returning Crimea to Ukrainian control remains a strategic goal.
