The US military launched a series of strikes on Yemeni territory controlled by the Houthi movement. One person was killed in the shelling in Saada province, the rebel-owned Al Masirah TV channel reported.
On Friday evening, the US attacked the Yemeni capital Sanaa, as well as the provinces of Saada, Al-Mahwit and Al-Hodeidah. According to Saudi TV channel "Al Hadath", the strikes targeted Houthi military facilities, including weapons depots and personnel deployment points.
Al Masirah reported that one of the strikes in Saada province was aimed at the Sahar area, home to Yemeni Bedouins. The person killed in the US strike was a member of a nomadic Bedouin tribe.
On March 15, the United States, under the orders of President Donald Trump, began carrying out massive airstrikes against Houthi targets, who control about a third of Yemen. The operation is aimed at protecting American interests and ensuring freedom of navigation, US Central Command said at the time.
