By order of Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, three deputy ministers of finance have been appointed.

Metodi Metodiev has already held this post once in 2023. His professional career has been connected with the Ministry of Finance for many years. During the period 2015-2018, he held the position of head of the departmental team at the Permanent Representation of Bulgaria in Brussels, Belgium. He holds a master's degree in “International Finance” from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. He specializes in the field of public finance management, the deepening of the Economic and Monetary Union and the European framework for economic and fiscal governance. He has completed additional training and courses in the USA, Austria and Belgium.
Stefan Belchev has 28 years of professional experience in the field of internal audit and financial control in the public sector. He holds a scientific degree “Doctor of Economics“ with a scientific specialty "Accounting, control and analysis of economic activity". He started his career in 1996 as a financial auditor in the Metropolitan Department of "State Financial Control". Since 2006, he has been the director of the “Internal Audit” in the Ministry of Finance, and since 2016 - director of the "Methodology of control and internal audit" directorate. in the Ministry of Finance. From July 2021 to February 2024, he held the position of director of the State Financial Inspection Agency, and until now he was director of the “Control over capital investments” in the ministry.
Martin Danovski is an economist by education. He has over 20 years of professional experience in business and state administration. In the period October 2015 – March 2021, he is a member and chairman of the Board of Directors of “Fund manager of financial instruments in Bulgaria” EAD. From 2015 to 2021, he was also an advisor in the office of the Deputy Prime Minister. In March 2021, he was appointed chairman of the State Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation at the Council of Ministers, holding the position until March 2022.
