Great Britain has decided to triple its investment in the development of relations with Tajikistan. This was announced by British Foreign Minister David Cameron. “The goal is to make our citizens more secure and prosperous together”, he told the portal ASIA plus.
Cameron identified three priority areas for the development of relations between the two countries. He noted the need for joint efforts to maintain global order, the importance of investing in trade and companies with high potential in the Central Asian region, and the allocation of funds for education. According to the head of the British Foreign Office, he intends to discuss these issues with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon during his visit to the republic.
It was previously reported that Cameron had arrived on a visit to Tajikistan, where he was scheduled to meet with the head of the republic Rahmon, as well as his Tajik counterpart Sirojidin Muhriddin. As noted in the foreign policy department of the republic, the parties plan to discuss the prospects for bilateral cooperation, as well as regional issues.
