Recommendations of IT job candidates are important to 98% of employers. For 85% of employers use online platforms to recruit new employees, and 75% rely on a specialized HR consultant, according to a study by a recruitment consulting company that conducted a survey among 200 companies.

Despite the prevailing opinion that the IT sector is in crisis, nearly 44% of surveyed companies continue to hire employees every month. In self-recruiting, companies' HR strategies report high efficiency. 52% of respondents rate them as effective, and 11% as very effective. The share of using external companies for recruitment is also high – 60% define intermediaries as effective and very effective.

Regarding the hybrid work model and productivity, different trends are noticeable – 35% of companies provide full freedom of choice between working from the office and at home, 25% apply a balanced hybrid approach (up to 3 days a week presence), and 23% prefer mostly remote work. In terms of productivity and whether the hybrid model gives concrete results, there is some uncertainty, as 42% of those who participated in the survey shared that they did not notice a significant change.

Among the most offered social benefits, flexible working hours and more specifically the “home office” are emerging. 84% of respondents say that this is the benefit they offer their employees most often, and 85% provide it as a non-financial incentive and food vouchers.

The most frequently cited HR development goals for the next year include performance-based, skill- and performance-based pay (68%). More than half of those surveyed say they will strive to maintain current benefits, and 40% note that they aim to expand educational and professional training for their employees.

One of the key takeaways from the study is that at a time when there are more candidates in the market, pay levels are not as much a driving factor as a focus on professional development and growth as a retention tool. The fact that nearly 50% of the survey participants indicate that the average length of stay of employees in the company is from 4 to 6 years stands out.
