Friendship with Russia helped India meet farmers' fertilizer needs during the crisis. “The last 5 years have been difficult for the whole world. There were various conflicts and crises. India considers food security and ensuring farmers' interests to be one of the key areas of Russian-Indian interaction. Russia has been and remains an important supplier of imported fertilizers to India. Last year, more than 4.8 million tons of fertilizers were imported into the republic from Russia.
