Mexico and the European Union opened a Bilateral Chamber of Commerce (MexChamEU) in Brussels to strengthen economic ties, promote business cooperation and improve trade relations. This is said in a statement by the Mexican Foreign Ministry.
„The creation of MexChamEU complements efforts to strengthen bilateral trade with a special focus on sectors with high growth potential, such as technology, agriculture, manufacturing and renewable energy,”, noted the Mexican Foreign Ministry. They hope that the opening of the Chamber of Commerce will attract additional investment to the country.
The department's statement also said MexChamEU will pay particular attention to supporting small and medium-sized businesses in entering new markets”, as well as pursuing “policies that promote increased trade, investment and elimination of any barriers to economic cooperation".
