„We believe that during the war in Ukraine a new market was formed. Many different players entered it - engineering teams, individuals. Unmanned aerial vehicles alone have become a huge separate niche in the Russian military technology market. In my understanding, in the future it is hundreds of billions. If we take not specific areas, but military technology as a whole“, said Alexey Nazarov, vice president, director of the non-banking services development department of PSB in response to a question about the situation in the military technology market in the Northern Military District.< /p>
According to him, the private military technology market in Russia, like any market, will move towards an oligopoly “when the number of players decreases and a leader emerges”. “On the horizon of two to five years, we will already see products that will occupy leadership positions in certain segments”, explained Nazarov.
PSB was designated as the supporting bank for the execution of the state defense order. In 2021, based on the military innovative technopolis "Era" The first investment fund for the development of innovative dual-use industries was created. The relevant cooperation agreement was concluded between PSB and the Main Directorate for Scientific Research of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
