Vacation village "Albena" marks 55 years since its establishment today, the resort administration reported, BTA reported.
From there, they add that they will mark the anniversary with a holiday concert and many surprises for their guests and friends.
Climax in the program to mark the anniversary will be the show of the famous violinist Vasko Vasilev, which starts precisely at 9:30 pm on the beach stage next to the bar "Ganvier". Earlier - from 18:30 to 19:30, on the roof of Maritim Hotel Amelia, the special edition of LIK magazine, printed by BTA under the title "55 years of our Albena in us", will be presented. The festive day will end with a music party by DJ Teddy Georgo at the beach bar "Ganvier". Entrance to the festive events is free for spectators.
"For 55 years "Albena" enchants with its charm, which has become a benchmark for a destination with time-honored traditions, a modern present and a sustainable future. Today, the complex is preferred for seaside summer vacations, for a year-round escape in nature and the warmth of spring mineral water, for sports, for gourmet cuisine, for business meetings and cultural festivals," the resort also states.
The resort complex was officially opened on August 24, 1969 and was built in a bay 30 km from Varna, near the “Baltata“ reserve. – long forest near the Batova river. The beach strip of the resort is 3 km long and 50-60 m wide. In 1966, the main designer of the resort, arch. Nikolay Nenov chooses the bay where it will be built. The construction of the resort began in 1968. The “Albena“ is the first resort complex in Bulgaria, built in an industrial way, with the hotels, restaurants and shops included in original architectural compositions.
The resort is named after the heroine of the work of the same name by the writer Yordan Yovkov – Albena. During the first tourist season, the resort “Albena“ welcomes 8,600 vacationers and records 103,888 overnight stays, BTA recalls.
