The prices of most fruits and vegetables fell on the markets in our country  - 1

The market price index (PIC), which reflects the movement of wholesale food prices in our country rose by 0.15 percent to 2,038 points during the week, according to data in the weekly bulletin of the State Commodity Exchanges and Markets Commission (DKSBT), BTA reported.

Last week the ITC was at the level of 2.035 points. The base level of ITC - 1,000 points, is from 2005.

Greenhouse cucumbers became cheaper by 6.3 percent to BGN 2.70 per kilogram, while tomatoes from open areas rose in price by 2.4 percent to BGN 1.74 per kilogram. The price of green pepper is down by 10.4 percent and is traded at BGN 1.64 per kilogram, while that of red pepper is down by 8.4 percent to BGN 1.96 per kilogram.

Potatoes are cheaper by 0.4 percent to BGN 1.07 per kilogram, and carrots by 5.4 percent to BGN 1.08 per kilogram. The price of ripe onions is also lower by 1.4 percent to BGN 1.09 per kilogram, as well as that of cabbage - by 10 percent to BGN 1.01 per kilogram.

Lemons rose in price by 2.1 percent to BGN 3.33 per kilogram, while bananas fell by 3.8 percent to BGN 2.68 per kilogram. The price of peaches is down by 3.9 percent to BGN 2.20 per kilogram, and that of grapes by 5.3 percent to BGN 2.51 per kilogram. Watermelons are also cheaper - by 6.8 percent to BGN 0.58 per kilogram.

The price of cow's cheese jumps by 1.4 percent to BGN 11.15 per kilogram, and the "Vitosha" type cheese - by 0.2 percent to BGN 16.85 per kilogram.

Yogurt (3 and over 3 percent fat content) becomes cheaper by 4.8 percent and it is bought at BGN 1.22 for a bucket of 400 grams, and fresh milk (3 percent fat content) - by 1.3 percent hundred to BGN 2.26 per liter.

The price of chicken decreased by 2.4 percent and became BGN 6.31 per kilogram, while the price of eggs (size M) rose by 2 percent to BGN 0.30 per wholesale.

Rice is cheaper by 0.4 percent to BGN 3.30 per kilogram, and lentils are more expensive by 3 percent and is respectively BGN 4.45 per kilogram. The price of ripe beans jumped by 4.2 percent to BGN 4.37 per kilogram.

Sugar rose in price by 4.9 percent and was traded at BGN 2.09 per kilogram, and oil by 0.6 percent to BGN 2.79 per liter. The price of type 500 flour fell by 3.4 percent to BGN 1.31 per kilogram, and that of cow butter (125 gram package) by 3.2 percent to BGN 2.70 per piece.
