At its summit in Brussels in October, the European Union will impose sanctions on Iranian individuals and entities for alleged deliveries of ballistic missiles to Russia. This was reported by the Bloomberg agency, citing its sources.
The first package of sanctions will affect about 10 individuals and legal entities, including engineering and mining companies, as well as enterprises from the aviation industry. EU leaders are expected to approve the measures at an EU summit in mid-October. One of the sources also noted that the United States will impose restrictions on Iran for the missile attack on Israel launched on the evening of October 1.

Moscow and Tehran have repeatedly rejected versions of supplying Iranian weapons to Russia for use in Ukraine. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on September 11 that Tehran had not supplied ballistic missiles to the Russian Federation and that the United States and Europe were relying on false information.
