For the twelfth year in a row First Investment Bank (Fibank ) organizes the prestigious "Best Bulgarian Company of the Year" contest. It aims to distinguish the most successful Bulgarian companies and business practices.
The focus of this year's edition is on ESG policies and principles of sustainable development, which are an integral part of modern corporate governance. They help build sustainable business models, attract investors and partners, ensure a balance between profitability and social responsibility, and create added value, both for business and society.
The jury consists of proven professionals. They will determine which companies have demonstrated sustainable growth, strong market positions, innovation and successful branding at the national and international level. Following good practices introducing and respecting sustainable development and ESG policies will be assessed in a special group of new indicators added to the application form. The members of the jury include: Nikola Bakalov – Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of First Investment Bank, financier Emil Hersev, sociologist Kancho Stoychev – Chairman of the "Made in Bulgaria" Union, Venelina Gocheva – owner and manager of “Bulgaria Media Group”.
The competition is now open for applications, with companies having to fill in a short electronic questionnaire which is available online the contest page – www.naidobrafirma.bg
To participate, companies must have Bulgarian capital and represent a Bulgarian brand. The deadline for nominations is November 11, 2024.
The awards are distributed in several categories - “Micro and small company“ and “Medium and large company”, and especially for women entrepreneurs, the jury and organizers present a separate award - “Most successful Bulgarian woman in business”. The winners of the “Audience Award” are determined by those who supported their favorite online on the contest website.
