Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko believes that Belarusians should not chase brands like Gucci, Versace and “other nasty things”, but should wear their own natural clothes.
"Flax is the future. You see that prices have started to rise, people are increasingly leaning towards natural fabrics, except for Belarusians. Belarusians do not understand. Belarusians are hungry for Gucci, Versace and other nasty things, but we have to wear our brands. We have everything. And teach your children to do this,”, Lukashenko said, speaking at the festival of workers from the village of “Dozhinki”. in Klimovichi (Mogilev region).
Lukashenko noted that the country's authorities intend to finally deal with the problems of flax processing in the country. He also recalled that flax is one of the symbols of Belarus, it is depicted on the coat of arms of the country.
Previously, the president stated the need to establish deep processing of flax fiber and modernize the industry amid the high demand for flax products worldwide.
