For another year, Elektrohold held a Week of Opportunities dedicated to education and innovation in energy. The initiative is part of the company's long-term strategy to promote professional education and build qualified personnel for the sector.
The event was attended by over 400 students from vocational high schools in Western Bulgaria and nearly 20 teachers. They got acquainted with the latest trends and innovations in the field of energy and learned about the various opportunities for internship and career development in the companies of the Electrohold group.
The company's experts told the students about the modern trends in the management and maintenance of the country's electricity system and technologies for producing electricity from RES.
For the second time, a special Energy for the Future academy for teachers was organized during the Week of Opportunities. Teachers from 15 vocational high schools in Western Bulgaria had the opportunity to learn more about creative methods in teaching with the help of lecturers from the Foundation for Modern Education (FMO).
„For years we have been working to popularize training in vocational high schools and support teachers and students, because we believe that together we can ensure a better future for young people in Bulgaria”, said Evgenia Nakova, Director of Human Resources at Electrohold Bulgaria.
Opportunities Week is part of Electrohold's commitment to promote career guidance among young people. The aim of the initiative is to give students and teachers a practical understanding of the dynamically developing industry and the prospects it offers.
Electrohold is developing a long-term strategy to support and popularize professional education and build qualified personnel for the Bulgarian electricity industry. For ten years now, the company has been providing scholarships in the "Energy for the Future" competition. and provides paid internships for vocational high school students and students. The company is also one of the first to join the program for dual training in electrical engineering in Bulgaria.
