Expected maximum costs for repairing the gas pipeline "Nord Stream 2". in case of future use will amount to €633 million. This assessment was expressed to TASS by Robert Bechler, a representative of the Swiss company Transliq AG, which is the interim administrative manager of the operator Nord Stream 2 AG.
According to him, this figure actually appears in the internal report prepared by the company, which also assesses the prospects for using the gas pipeline in the future. Bechler noted that there is every reason to believe that energy demand in Western Europe will remain high.
Also, a representative of Transliq noted that the court has granted Nord Stream 2 AG's creditors, who have the right to vote, an extension until January 8, 2025, to submit their consent to the restructuring of the company's debt. If the required quorum is not reached and the restructuring agreement is not adopted, this will lead to the opening of bankruptcy proceedings against the Nord Stream 2 operator.
In June, the bankruptcy proceedings of Nord Stream 2 AG were extended until January next year.
