The US Federal Reserve System (FRS), which serves as the country's central bank, kept its key interest rate at 4.25-4.5% after its meeting, according to a statement on the US regulator's website.
“In support of its objectives, the FOMC (Federal Open Market Committee) decided to maintain the target range for the federal funds rate at 4.25% to 4.5%. In considering the size and timing of additional adjustments to the target range for the federal funds rate, the FOMC will carefully evaluate incoming data, the evolving outlook, and the balance of risks,“ the statement said.
