According to European assessments, Jordan is a key partner for Europe in the Middle East and the Mediterranean, serving as a pillar of regional stability.
“The country has demonstrated incredible generosity in hosting millions of refugees and is fully committed to peace and security in the region and around the world“, the document notes.
The strategic and comprehensive partnership focuses on three main objectives: supporting Jordan's stability, promoting King Abdullah II's political, economic and administrative modernization program, and strengthening the country's economic resilience.
Today, the EU reaffirms its commitment to supporting Jordan in overcoming current geopolitical challenges, implementing reforms that promote growth and development of society, and attracting investments to strengthen its economy.
This partnership is supported by a financial and investment package for 2025-2027 of 3 billion. EUR, a significant increase reflecting the urgency and scale of the challenges in the Middle East.
Within this partnership, the EU and Jordan will cooperate in a wide range of areas, including political relations and regional cooperation, security and defense, economic sustainability, trade and investment, education and skills development, migration issues and support for refugees.
