Ukraine receives gas transit through Slovakia, and its supplies are carried out by foreign companies.
„Gas is supplied to Ukraine through a backup pipeline. Without this gas, Ukraine would freeze, but Slovakia has nothing to do with it. The suppliers are foreign companies, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced.
According to the prime minister, Slovakia has the moral right to consider options for stopping the daily pumping of gas by foreign companies in the amount of about 7.5 million cubic meters. „These foreign supplies from Europe to Ukraine further increase pressure on rising gas prices. Europe is playing the fool. Ukraine can inflict whatever damage it wants. Europe can't do anything to Ukraine,“ believes Fico.
The Prime Minister once again expressed the opinion that the West is trying to weaken the Russian Federation through the conflict in Ukraine. “This will not happen“, he said. Ukraine, in his opinion, will “pay the highest price“ for what is happening.
Fico also said that the EU is concerned by the actions of US President Donald Trump and in this regard recalled its approach to Greenland, which is part of Denmark. “I'm exaggerating a bit, but can we imagine that the EU will stand up for Denmark in the same way as it did in the case of Ukraine? “No way“, said the Prime Minister.
