Fibank (First Investment Bank) launches the new functionality “e-PIN“, part of the bank's long-term initiative for digitalization of products and services. Through it, the provision of a paper copy of the PIN code for all Fibank clients is discontinued.
Fibank clients have the opportunity to receive the PIN code for their newly issued bank cards through the My Fibank mobile application or, if they are not users of online banking, via SMS to the short number 10800.
In case the client is not registered in My Fibank, he should send a unique identification code with an SMS message to the short number 10800. The code is indicated on the form with which the card is received, under the plastic itself.
The deadline for sending the identification code is 60 calendar days from the date of receipt of the card. If this deadline is not met, receiving the PIN will be available through My Fibank or by reissuing the card at the request of the account holder. Receiving the PIN via SMS is applicable only to numbers serviced by Bulgarian mobile operators.
The electronic PIN is another step towards ensuring convenience, speed and security for Fibank's clients, as well as establishing it as a leader in modern financial solutions and sustainable development.
