The dispositional hearing in the case against the businessman Vasil Bozhkov, accused in the criminal gang for extortion, official and corruption crimes, is postponed until the beginning of July.
"The process will be interesting – 300 witnesses and to waste time, just to keep me accused. This is the work of prosecutor Angel Kanev. No crime was committed. His interest is for this to go on, for him to develop his career and for no one to accuse him of having filed a false case," said businessman Vasil Bozhkov, after the City Court of Sofia announced a technical error.
Bozhkov compared the case against him to the "KTB" case. and sharply attacked the prosecutor in the case.
According to the accused prosecutor Kanev is a "club" and "obedient". "Everyone knows," added Bozhkov. He was adamant that the case against him would end. "We will ask for an abbreviated proceeding,", he explained and pointed out that usually the accused tries to postpone the case, but with him it is the exact opposite.
According to the businessman, "the interest of those who lead the prosecution is to keep him in this state".
"I have no intention of hiding and let this case go on for 10 years", Vasil Bozhkov also said.
Bozhkov also commented on the fact that his party ("Center" gathered 25,667 votes of support in the vote on June 9 or 1.19%, according to CEC data - note ed.) failed to enter the 50th National Assembly.
"We got support. This is a new formation, two months old. For me, that's success. Plus, we had ballots stolen and destroyed. These were the most damned elections," he said, quoted by Dnes.bg.
The businessman greeted the party "Majesty" and emphasized that they speak what the "Center" does. Bozhkov called on all non-parliamentary forces to unite.
On a possible future government, he commented: "Everything is a scenario. A government of GERB with DPS means that GERB commits suicide. DPS has always supported them, but always unofficially.
