A specialized team from the Navy destroyed a corroded projectile , found in the area of the “Rosenets” park. near Burgas, BNT reported.
After receiving a signal about an object found during excavation works and resembling ammunition, a formation was activated for reconnaissance, extraction, transportation and destruction of unexploded ammunition from the Naval Base - Burgas. Reconnaissance activities were carried out, after which the specialists classified the discovered ammunition as part of a projectile, heavily corroded, without a detonator.
The ammunition was transported and destroyed on the territory of the Burgas Naval Base in strict compliance with safety measures.
