After that, it is the responsibility of the winner to be able to form a majority for the election of the president and the election of a cabinet. In the last 6 parliaments, GERB failed to form a government and has not taken such actions at the moment.
This was stated to BNT by PP-DB deputy Andrey Tsekov, a PP-DB deputy, commenting on why PP-DB will not support the candidate for GERB/SDS chairman Raya Nazaryan.
"The speaker of the parliament is not a sign of what the cabinet will be like,", Tsekov stressed.
On Monday, PP-DB announced that they will withdraw Andrei Tsekov and stand behind the proposal of “There is such a people” (ITN) to elect the oldest deputy as chairman – Silvi Kirilov (ITN), in order to overcome the blockade. They called on the other political forces to also withdraw their nominations.
