Shuleva: There are absolutely arbitrary increases in pensions - 1

Very serious imbalances have accumulated in the pension system, which reflect today.
This is what Lidia Shuleva, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, as well as former Minister of Labor and Social Policy, told BNR.

According to her, there are "absolutely arbitrary increases" of pensions, and the large percentage of people currently receiving minimum pensions is due to "things that happened in the first 10-15 years after the changes".

In a period of pre-election struggle, unprincipled and indiscriminate bidding begins in order to please the voters, the former deputy prime minister pointed out.

Shuleva emphasizes the much stricter introduction of the contribution rule – rights, that is, the pension depends on the social security contribution. Currently, this principle is violated, there is an illegal increase in the minimum pension, she said.

Social security is a solidarity system. At the expense of the social security contributions, pensions are paid that do not correspond to the social security contribution of the person, Lidiya Shuleva explained and argued why funds should be taken out of the consolidated budget of the National Social Insurance Institution and should go to the Ministry of Social Affairs.

When we talk about an average salary, of which 50% is the minimum, it is not a question of whether it is a basic or gross salary. It is not normal for the MHZ to depend on the supplement for the length of service of certain categories of people, commented Lidiya Shuleva regarding the EU directive on guaranteed minimum incomes.

"Either way, the Ministry of Health must grow. Another issue is that regional imbalances are large."

"With these inactive and voluntarist parliamentary "majorities" In recent years, we have been at an absolute standstill in terms of investments," noted the former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy.

Maybe we'd better go into 2025. with the old budget, because in the old budget there is no such hole, there are no such deficits, Shuleva also pointed out and warned:

"It is very dangerous that they will again bump into the budget various payments, which are not clear how they will be realized."

In the show "Above all" Lidiya Shuleva expressed the opinion that the tax on gambling should be increased because, according to her, 300,000 young people who do not work or study fill the gaming halls and go to the companies for quick loans.

There is somewhere to get money, Lidia Shuleva stressed in conclusion.
