< p>"Fears that the biggest political power would like to open up more freedom of action in this fragmented parliament are well-founded. On the agenda is whether PP-DB will be able to preserve the unity of the parliamentary group", sociologist Elena Darieva commented to NOVA.
According to PR expert Nidal Alghafari of the PP-DB, they kept what little dignity they had. "I expect on Friday that the Speaker of the National Assembly will not be elected again. The only chance at the moment is for the Constitutional Court to declare the elections illegitimate, cancel them and hold another vote," he pointed out.
According to Darieva, the legislative institution shows a level of functioning that is repulsive for Bulgarian citizens. "This is the problem that confronts us with a constitutional crisis. There are two ethical approaches to political behavior – the first is to follow your principles and stand by them to the end, the other is – the ethics of responsibility, where you have a goal that you pursue and compromise to achieve it," she added.
"The people elected strange parties to enter the National Assembly, therefore people cannot be angry with the politicians. If the Speaker of the National Assembly is not elected, there can be no new elections", added Alghafari.
