PP-DB will not support a candidate for president without a signature on the sanitary cordon declaration. This was stated by the leaders of the coalition, after the parliament failed to elect a chairman for the eighth time, "Focus" reports.
"We will not support a candidate of any party that has not supported our declaration, with which we isolate Peevski from all power influences in this country. At the moment, the game is to pound the ball to get closer in Sarafov's direction, without Peevski's influences and without Sarafov.
Our declaration must be signed by every party that wants to put forward its candidate and receive our support," Kiril Petkov said.
"This vote is entirely based on the BSP's non-support of the sanitary cordon declaration. We hope there will be a change", commented Bozhidar Bojanov
"In our opinion, regardless of concerns, new conversations and new applications should be sought. The National Assembly must work", Atanas Atanasov said.
"We started with the declaration of a sanitary cordon around Mr. Peevski as the first condition for seeking any support and a majority.
Today is November 29, in less than a month we must have a budget passed so that the state does not stop. We see new tricks being invented day after day to break any attempt at consensus to elect a Speaker of the National Assembly. This only serves Mr. Peevski, who wants to re-elect Mr. Sarafov," Asen Vassilev said.
