Atanas Chobanov: Judge Petar Santirov has filed a lawsuit against Pepi "The Euro" - 1

Investigative journalist Atanas Chobanov commented exclusively on the "Eurocom" program "EuroDikoff" that Judge Petar Santirov has filed a lawsuit against Petar Petrov, known as Pepi "The Euro".

It is more surprising that the missing Petrov has filed written statements in the case and hired a lawyer. Santirov, along with the former Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance Tencho Popov and Nikolay Tsonev, is a former defendant for bribing Pepi "The Euro". However, all three were acquitted, and Santirov has filed a lawsuit, which has now been renewed. The appearance of Pepi “Evroto“ would worry “some people“, Chobanov said, but did not specify which ones.

Chobanov, who is the editor-in-chief of the website bird.bg, revealed that prosecutor Daniela Taleva said that acting prosecutor general Borislav Sarafov was spotted several times at Pepi “Evroto“ “Eight Dwarfs“ restaurant. According to Sarafov himself, he was invited there by his predecessor Ivan Geshev.

Chobanov also said that with regard to the MRF MEP – New Beginning Elena Yoncheva, the executive director of the National Revenue Agency Rumen Specsov “went wild“. Her jeep was blocked due to debts of 72 thousand leva to the National Revenue Agency. Seizure may be a routine procedure for such debts, Chobanov believes. It is possible that it may also extend to Yoncheva's properties in Bulgaria.

On the issue of the possible request to lift Lena Borislavova's immunity, Chobanov reminded that it is at the request of a district prosecutor to the chief prosecutor.
