Georgi Kiryakov: It is important for Radev to justify his reluctance to invite DPS-New Beginning to negotiations - 1

"First of all, we should view the consultations for a regular government as an official duty of the Bulgarian president. He fulfilled what the Constitution commands him to do, but what will happen next is an open question".

This was said by political analyst Prof. Zahari Zahariev on "Denyat ON AIR".

According to political scientist Georgi Kiryakov, it is important for the president to justify his reluctance to invite "DPS-New Beginning" to negotiations.

"This constitutional recommendation to hold consultations is being used by "DPS-New Beginning" and Delyan Peevski to personally attack the president and accuse him of unconstitutional actions. On the one hand, it is traditional, on the other hand, it is an unconventional presidential action to refuse consultation," he added for Bulgaria ON AIR.

According to Prof. Zahariev, we are stubbornly moving towards the next elections.

"The president is violating political tradition first of all. From a purely legal point of view, he has not violated anything. The question is to what extent this is best for Bulgaria, especially against the backdrop of the looming financial and economic storm. We are in Schengen by virtue of foreign policy circumstances, not by virtue of our political strength," the guest commented.

The judges who will enter the SJC are from the same authority accused of corruption, Kiryakov is categorical.

"When elections do not give you a clear direction in which direction the voters are taking the development of the state, the resistance is greater. We will not elect Sarafov, but someone similar to Sarafov will come and he is still the only candidate. "The problem is not in Sarafov as a name, but in the Constitution, where the prosecutor is given too much power," he explained.
