Daniel Mitov: We call on Glavchev to withdraw the cooperation agreement with Ukraine, the moment is not right - 1

For us, the moment chosen by Prime Minister Glavchev to submit such an agreement to parliament is extremely unfortunate. This was announced to journalists by the MP from the GERB-SDS parliamentary group Daniel Mitov regarding Dimitar Glavchev's request that the parliament give a specific mandate to the caretaker government to sign the Agreement on Security Cooperation between the Republic of Bulgaria and Ukraine, BTA reports.

At the end of the life of this caretaker government, a text is being proposed that will cause excessively “heated dynamics“, the MP noted. We are currently holding talks to form a solid parliamentary majority to elect a cabinet with a 4-year mandate, and such a proposal could even hinder the negotiation process and create undesirable dynamics, he added.

Therefore, we call on Prime Minister Glavchev to withdraw this agreement. Such a decision should be made by a regular cabinet, and not to engage in polemics now and then have a regular cabinet wonder whether to change the parameters, the MP from the first political force also said.

This agreement is infinitely late. It should have been signed a year ago, when the other NATO and European Union member states were negotiating the parameters for similar agreements and signing them, Mitov added.
