The negotiation teams of “Democratic Bulgaria” and GERB-SDF reached an agreement and will work on a draft joint management agreement, reflecting the results of the meetings held so far by sectors and the anti-corruption priorities and measures for reform in the justice system. After reaching an agreement on the agreement, they will be able to start talks with “BSP - United Left” and ITN, DB announced.
In the energy sector, the two sides have reached an agreement on the priorities for the development of the sector in their programs. The topics discussed were the development of Units 7 and 8 of the Kozloduy NPP, stimulating the development of the RES sector, including by defining priority areas for investments in wind energy, the reforms under the Energy Efficiency Act, the energy efficiency program for households and businesses, the European initiative to accelerate the production of clean technologies in Europe, and others.
At the meeting of the security teams, the state of the security services and the steps that need to be taken to improve the security environment and the peace of mind of citizens were discussed. Attention was focused on new threats and ways to counter them. The State Security Service emphasizes that there is agreement on a number of key aspects, one of which is improving cybersecurity and an effective way to address the challenges in this area. The selection system, attestation and ways of growth in the security services were also discussed, as well as the need to change outdated and unresponsive legal and regulatory framework.
In the budget meeting, which was also attended by representatives of the BSP, the ITN and the Ministry of Finance, the negotiators requested a risk analysis from the ministry for January and February. They also insist on proposals for measures that would lead to the stability of public finances.
