Despite the ban on the passage of motor vehicles over 12 tons through the "Petrohan" pass and the calls of the institutions for drivers to leave prepared for winter conditions, today heavy trucks are again being detected that violate the regulations and passenger cars whose drivers were surprised by the road conditions.
At the moment, the pass is open to traffic, but in several places, precisely because of stuck trucks and cars, traffic is slowed down and requires increased attention.
More than 30 machines are cleaning and sanding the pass on both sides, but in places ice has formed on the road, which further complicates the passage.
The RIA and the Traffic Police call on travelers to avoid high mountain sections and passes when possible, as well as to be more patient and responsible when traveling in the complicated road conditions in places.
