Venko Sabrutev: We do not trust Boyko Borisov - 1

The parliamentarian from "Continuing Change-Democratic Bulgaria" Venko Sabrutev revealed previously unknown details about the attempts to convene an extraordinary session of the Budget Committee in the National Assembly.

"Maya Manolova called on the parliamentarian to convene and consider the budget. I know that she is not an MP, but she is still part of the government. She should have mentioned that in fact on Friday, we from the PP-DB made such an initiative, I personally collected signatures so that we could hold an extraordinary session of the Budget Committee on the same day we created it," Sabrutev told the media.

According to the parliamentarian, it was the deputies from "BSP - United Left" have refused to sign, which he defines as "the parliament's unwillingness to accept the budget".

On the topic of forming a regular cabinet, Sabrutev is categorical that his formation is not participating in the negotiations. "We do not trust Boyko Borisov. We see that he is capable of changing his mind several times", the MP emphasized.

According to Sabrutev, the only way for GERB to prove its readiness to fight corruption is through concrete actions in parliament. "The anti-corruption laws we have introduced and the changes to the Judiciary Act must be voted on so that Borislav Sarafov cannot be elected for the next 7 years and there is a fair competition after which the Prosecutor's Office can function", he explained.

"Bulgaria needs a regular government. We said that we will negotiate with all parties that sign the 'cordon sanitaire' that will remove Delyan Peevski from power. Parties like 'Vazrazhdane' are absurd, we are two different worlds," Sabrutev concluded.
