Ahmed Dogan's MRF is gathering on January 4 to celebrate 35 years since its establishment. The event will be held in Sofia at a hotel in the capital.
Tomorrow, December 22, Delyan Peevski will hold a Central Council, at which he will become the sole leader of the party and remove the figure of the honorary chairman from the MRF statute. The disputes between the two factions continue in court, news.bg recalled.
Even when he announced the convening of the conference, Dogan's camp announced that he did not have this right because he was expelled, and tomorrow's conference was illegitimate because it was being convened by people expelled by Ahmed Dogan.
Even then, the people of the honorary chairman announced that there would be another gathering of the authentic MRF.
We recall that the Sofia City Court refused to register the decision of the Central Operational Bureau of the MRF, which expelled Delyan Peevski and seven other people from it. Khalil Letifov, Iskra Mihaylova, Yordan Tsonev, Hamid Hamid, Stanislav Anastasov, Radoslav Revanski, Erten Anisova were also expelled from Ahmed Dogan's faction.
The SCC decision on this case was issued days before the National Conference of the MRF convened by Delyan Peevski was to take place.
The SCC decision states that Delyan Peevski can only be removed from the post of chairman by the National Conference of the MRF. Which is not the format of Dogan's MRF meeting on January 4 at this stage.
