"Most likely, Delyan Peevski will be expelled from the liberal international, not only because they are close to the old party leadership, but I think there is also a deeper reason - it is that Peevski is creating a liberal party that is not exactly of the European type. Peevski is creating a liberal party of the American type. In many ways, he is "the most Western politician in Bulgaria"".
This was commented on by political scientist Toncho Kraevski to the Bulgarian National Radio.
"Votes have been bought over the years by many people, all political parties have taken advantage of this - mostly those in power. This has always been a bonus for the government. However, never before has the one who uses this tool collected the controlled vote at a rally. There has never been a rally with a bought vote. This is a very important and significant rally in the recent history of Bulgaria," he explained. In his words, what these people are fighting for is to make this a valid point of view.
In the program "Above All" the political scientist explained what an American liberal party is: "This is an alliance of the state, state institutions, through the redistribution of state resources to create an electoral alliance between all kinds of marginalized layers of society – on an ethnic, social, economic basis".
According to him, outside of Sofia, where this is aesthetically unacceptable and ridiculous, this is heard in a different way. He also noted the flow of state resources, which are seen to be designated for the "New Beginning" in the budget.
"There is a fundamentally new idea. Peevski did not just take the party from Dogan to use it opportunistically, now at this point to form a government, and from now on he does not know what he will do - no - here there is a fundamentally new idea for this party. The name "New Beginning" turned out to be something he had been thinking about for a long time before he quarreled with Dogan. It turned out that this brand has been reserved for many months", commented Toncho Krajevski. And he added:
"He should not give Dogan and Dogan's people any air to return. He will work to clear them from the field and sink them below the line. He will completely legitimately besiege this party and leave the conflict with the old leadership as some controversial episode in history".
Obviously in this case the court is on Peevski's side, the political scientist pointed out and pointed out: "Maximum formalism, so that you cannot be accused of direct interference in the affairs of the party. The stronger one will win".
According to him, at the moment when the talks about the cabinet began, there were two provocations - one with the requested immunities, and the other - through the suddenly changed position of GERB and Glavchev on Ukraine. According to him, they aim to drive a wedge between PP-DB and Boyko Borisov, and the international situation is being used as a pretext.
Kraevski stressed that all of Peevski's opponents are close to the line or will be close to the line. According to him, PP-DB will probably split in two and will be close to the line, BSP - too.
"There is no reason why Peevski should not want another election, as long as he still has influence on the executive branch. The question is what Borisov will do".
According to him, Borisov's motivation is to appear constructive:
"It is important for him to be in the constructive role and the others have failed the negotiations, not him. Beyond that, I don't see what his interest is in having a government."
According to him, the change in the balance of power is something that Borisov takes into account. If the winds blow in his direction, he will ask for concessions, the political scientist expressed his opinion. He believes that in the next elections there will be many parties with a little over the line, and with a double-digit result will be GERB, DPS - NN and "Vazrazhdane". According to him, with such a development of things, Peevski will push for a Euro-Atlantic cordon against "Vazrazhdane".
The political scientist believes that if a government is not formed in the first term, it will not happen at all. He also does not highly assess the chances for the first term.
