Two journalists and a policeman were killed by a gang at the reopening of one of the main hospitals in the Haitian capital, Agence France-Presse reported, quoted by BTA, citing the authorities.
The gangsters opened fire on those attending yesterday's ceremony in an area of Port-au-Prince, where lawlessness reigns and armed groups practically rule.
According to initial data, the gang's goal was to prevent the reopening of the general hospital.
The gangsters are part of the "Living Together" coalition of armed groups.
In addition to the two journalists killed, their colleagues were also wounded, a representative of a media organization.
The hospital was closed on February 29 of this year, after an attack carried out by the same criminal gang.
Haiti is in a state of widespread insecurity, with the Caribbean country still unable to escape a spiral of violence.
